together with andrzej we’ve started extreme noise project called / DOMESTIC VIOLENCE / ::
our fascination with experimental sounds and free’ individual music practice interest in experimental music shapes DIY AV instruments development found its outlet core in a new born audio visual existence….
It is a reflection of our strong need for healing relaxing extreme sound streams// mind static neurotic ripper music. psychodron session kept within data glitch core*

we are developing now our own audio interface made with pressure sensors [fsr's] arduino connected to max/msp. patch with 5 different effects recording and layering functions a bunch of samples.
samples are prerecorded sounds and voices … one of the FSR’s is releising the sample.. the other 5 have different effects and react with each other… [i dont have to mention here how i love fsr's and making sounds through them. this physical gesture of a pressure is fascinating in a way.. and a fact that more powerful pressure makes the effect more intense... i kind of like this idea of physicality within it, a movement to release the sound.. thats what makes it so fascinating and nicest to play with... ::triggerin a sound with the pressure of the body:: and modify it with intensity of touch sense / pressure...
//
this interface is like a new improved version of our Platform09 performance .. but instead of attaching it to ourselves and our clothes .. we made it more simple and mobile.. we've sticked all the components together to a perspex transparent surface. it is now tin and quite small ... so we can play 'normally' on the table... or ground... :: any surface.

we are working now on improving it to affect the visual side as well.... and connect sound and vision / [jitter mega jet] so the sensors and effects / waves of sound will make projection react on them and cause some changes in life video… /data mosh/glitchez??/ to achieve full audio visual accomplishment.
that is work in progress for now…
regarding the audio side of it… the strong need is to make extreme dark and multilayered noise in its primitive roots : granulized distorted twisted and emotional. i think for now our music sounds a little bit naive, dry.. but it is just a matter of time and practice to make it richer… and more powerful.

thanks to eve.. magic grrrl which i’ve met in berlin. i got in touch with ryan jordan
[ http://myob.to/zpenergy/ ] a noise diy electronics sensor systems controllers data hack guru who’s in charge of space10lab –> [ http://a10lab.info/ ] – an audiovisual art lab in Peckham, South London… open cute warehouse space.. / with many interesting events /installations.. like this one –> http://vimeo.com/11912552 ::
in area 10 artspace they’re organising geeky meetings :: workshops – gigs – community – ph computing – super collider : pure datas : hack : diy : max and many more!* sweeets ::

those incredibly active guys are organising regular events called noise=noise [thats what tikuls love the most ; ] in another space and recently an off open mini festival at some warehouse/squatie space in london – Temporary Autonomus Art* -

cannot wait to meet hack crew

///ah some pics of our prototype noise sensor machine
[ it suppose to be proto / i was planning to make a nice design : cover from perspex or any plastic of fabric shape and make give it more finished details... but i think we will leave it like that for now.. 'due to lack of time and... :P ??' i kind of like it like that... messy aesthetic.. wires glory ... harsh style. exposed cables and electronic guts... cool* and also people can easy see how it is made! and touch and ask :: for now there is just project name burned by laser cutter ... in the future i would like to give it more shape.. : P or maybe make a second version. sooooon* now finishing the patch is a priority ]

octopus dissection//

May 10th, 2010

Sunday afternoon full of dead squids and guts discovers::

our dear dr brian degger [lab in a box] did an impressive workshop/presentation at center for life
//
thanks to brian we could experience biopractical experiment at the labs…
each person got one medium sized octopus… to cut it : P and check whats inside…
we had a chance to see how the octopus ‘works’.. and run almost professional’ dissection to see particular inside parts of its organism…. with help from dr degger..

we got all the tools and instructions how to, for example take out the eye without damaging it… o . O’
so the whole group of crazy artists/participants were cutting the octopuses all afternoon, measuring them…
learning about their behaviors and what are the differences between males and female octopuses : )
their style of life and the roles of their parts in the body, analising their organs…

///
it was interesting and educational event. including the discussion of bio socio psychological aspects…
and our thoughts related to octopus body as a form of life… [how it relates to our bodies?]

[ brian is the perfect example how in a natural easy way combine art and science and all bio related areas.
[and how to gather cool people in one place and make them do some unusual stuff : P ]

::
my personal feelings about octopus::
[i was using it in my previous artwork]
for me these backboneless forms of life are one of the most interesting and sexy creatures on this planet*
//Octopuses are highly intelligent, probably the most intelligent of all invertebrates./
my fascination includes not only biological aspect and amazing ‘fractal like’ body shape… i used to love old japanese paintings of monster octo squids and sea creatures…. [also in hentai movies]
and their symbolic sexual message…

::::::::::::::::::::::
after the workshop we [crazy people] took two of them home to record some footage… as i couldnt get enough of their amazing shape … and want ot use them again for some video art project….. or at least record footage of dissection in slo mo or something…

/////i had loads of fun. like on a practical biology lesson / laboratory experiment at primary school.
that was so exciting.. i got really totally into. i was so interested whats inside and how to cut and got fascinated by this magical octopussy shape, that i actually forgot that im disgusted with it! the big trauma of vegano-vegetarian tikul::
i need loads of energy to fight the nightmare of touching the dead meat and experiencing very untasty meaty fishy smell… i like challenges though…
on the other hand my inborn curiosity forces me to explore the object/body inside out… and observe reactions of my own body when facing this unpleasant strange situation.. which turnes into very interesting and thrilling moment… after a while im getting used to it… and i can spend hours cutting octopus bit by bit… : P
//
i like to face it and force myself to it [and use flesh as a strong symbol in my artworks..]
to find out what my body is made of… : ) and how does it feel….

looking forward for more experiments at biosessions…

prototype simple idea exercise at Doing session::

/Control a real-world movement, system or output with an analog sensor/
- simple test system to control some mechanic object::
//

i did simple circuit using FSR [force sensing resistor] to control AC motor … [ i had to sacrifice my dildo to take out the small motor from it... so i took it apart, it was kinda interesting to see how it was built inside :]
i used simple analog input code for arduino [blinking LED example]
i had to use little transistor [a semiconductor device used to amplify and switch electronic signals]
to stream the electric energy in the right direction// and create simple power switch thorugh [pwm] – a way of providing intermediate amounts of electrical power between on/off.
i used also the 9V battery to run the motor.

after wiring everything up and i could easy control [on-off] my motor with the pressure sensor through arduino.
