most likely i would show my cheap noise sensor action with mr wojtas..
[the project for platform09]
as we are working on it now… the ‘sensor outfit’ is not quite ready yet… but if i could finish it before the exhibition
i would dress myself in ‘touch sensitive wear :’ and let people play with the sensors and different sounds by touching me… [ performative character of the piece + strange new fresh experience ]
though black clothing covered with conductive thread and 6 sensors + maxpat / arduino
:: participant can produce and modulate the sound by intensity of a pressure and number of sensors that the person is touching at the same time:: the sounds are ‘echoes’ of my + and Andrzejs body : breaths, heartbeat, groans, purrs, murmurrrs and more : : modulated by effects and filters from Max. delays:reverbs:granulizer:plus some noise distortion generators// effects are hidden under each sensor and are depending on a different connections between them.

before i’ve started to build this project
i wanted to present simple plain jitter peek – poke. which generates sound from my video
[ straitjacket underground parking dance ] on which i haven’t worked properly yet..
i need to add some filters:delays:effects: and modulate this ready to eat patch to achieve desirable stream of sound//

we played yesterday on 12 pressure sensors / two laps with Andrzej … noisy impressions…
making music by touch is a perfect flow… smooth manual gesture excitement … so fluid.
I used my mouth too… : P ideal equipment for sound actions ::

in the final musical touch battle on Platform09:: Andrzej will play me and I will play Andrzej : )

‘Barbwired’ – collaboration with Andrzej Wojtas :

‘When two objects or people touch, they exchange electric charge.’

This intimate sound performance draws ultra connections between two highly related individuals.
Personal relations are translated to musical language.
Sound is generated by participation with other human beings.
Feelings and expression are described in music vibrations. Body, touch, and energy exchange.
Physical contact and transcendental communication.
Toxic obsessions, intense emotion between partners and their sensual interactions
outlined gently as visible electric wire.
Shared experiences: Notes and neurons: Electric circuit circle.

/ By touching the sensors attached to each others’ clothes, fabric and body parts, performers will produce sound.

In the scene also will be presented video projection as a supplement of this act. /

/ Interactions and gestures during the performance will be dictated by atmosphere and personal emotions in this particular moment of our relation. /

I’ve made some necessary physical changes with the equipment and participating partner, which are not changing the concept of performance that much I think ..
My friend Barbara Zyrucha from London who was suppose to act with me in this piece,
is not able to attend the platform,
[but that would look more like a cheap lesbian performance show .. - which is a desirable aesthetic for some of the audience probably.. but I'm afraid that the attention of the public would drift away from the actual concept..
and I dont want that ] so I ‘picked up’ my [real time:] partner Andrzej Wojtas
This participation has changed into collaboration now. So this project will be our common effort.
I’ve changed a concept of our dress for the performance.. we will be wearing plain clothes in monochromatic color tones / also the sensors wires and conductive thread paths would be attached to the outside of our clothes
and some of them even maybe to our skin. [ the first idea was to attached them to the inside and hide them under the fabric... but I more prefer the vision of having them visible .. that suits the whole concept better I think ]
So all the sensors as we will touch them intensively or soft ..would be visible for the audience.
[ the project is in construction so I would probably have to make few small changes and decisions which in the end will not transform the whole idea that much ]

Probably performance will be quite loud / noisee – quite intense tones
