Nina Limardo – Sonic Dinner

Nina Limardo explores the strange relationship between food and sound by constructing a Sonic Dinner: an artistic exploration of scientific research, community, and the human sensorium. Extensive scientific research demonstrates that sound can alter one’s perceived taste of food. This is made possible by the muddled manner in which the brain uses memory, sensory integration, and perception to understand the world around it. The Sonic Dinner performance invites all members of the public to come and enjoy food and sound in a new way on September 20th. It will take the form of an installation for the remainder of the Render3 exhibit.

The Sonic Dinner starts at 6:30pm in Space 7 on Thursday 20 September (Opening Night).
