A batch of vinyl records given to the audience to create the material I used in my performance. People were invited to break, melt destroy and reassemble the records using tools and material provided to create record mosaic which was then used for the performance. London 2011.
The aim of this workshop and performance is to encourage contact with media artefacts as an opportunity to reflect on memory by jumbling their content and making sound connections amongst different audio contents to create sound stories, whether ghostly voices and instruments or simply white noise in between. The performance strongly refers to Christian Marclay's practices while pushing the physical limits of these objects turned instruments, intrinsic to the performance.
