well, this is my quick homage to the work of James Hugonin….
I have just used random values within a specified range to select the colours, so obviously have no where near the selection process that hugonin has gone through, each time you load mine up it changes. There is also a lot more to the process of his work which comes through in a physical painting, the brush strokes, the selection of colour and the way the light effects the work. There is also a lot more randomness within the square sizes, mine is a very structured grid (his could be changed though, I might look at this).
Obviously doing a digital version won’t be a patch (get it?) on the physical painting, but I have to say that many of the thoughts which I think of when looking at the painting come through in the digital version….
