I’m primarily a designer – a designer in the broadest sense of the word. I see design as solving problems through creative, innovative and elegant means. I use these skills mostly in digital media – websites, games, application interfaces e.t.c. I’m also a decent developer using technologies such as ActionScript (Flash), JavaScript, HTML, CSS and PHP.
I joined the MRes Digital Media in 2010 and am studying it part time over two years. I’m enjoying using existing skills in new ways and acquiring new skills in other areas such as film and sound.
As a very keen amateur photographer, my research has so far been based around the theory and practice of photography. My focus is currently on the relationship between painting and photography, the technology of photography and especially exploring alternative forms and uses of this technology.
